Riverbend offers a wide variety of training programming and workshops, all designed utilizing our Action-based LearingTM methodology. We also develop customized programming. We listen to your needs, then recommend and develop programming “from scratch” or utilize components across several existing programs to create the perfect solution to meet your needs.
As with our teambuilding programs, all workshops and training programs include optional “pull-through” consulting to maximize your investment through on-going “push” retention and recall.

- Change Management – Fall in-love with Black Spiders as we take you through the 4 phases of change and teach management strategies for moving your people and yourself from denial to commitment.
- Change Leadership – Learn to be proactive with change as we talk about the Change Leadership Model of vision, preparation, and communication to achieve breakthrough. Optional whitewater rafting ABL.
- Crisis Management – Utilizing the ultimate model of crisis management - Fire Fighting – learn by applying analogies and first-hand accounts of fighting fires to your business. Optional Fire Fighter Training ABL.
- Presentation Skills – This workshop can be completed in a day or be divided into two half-day workshops (part 1: Preparation; part 2: Delivery). Optional add-on – individual or group platform skills/ speech coaching.
- Motivational Leadership – Get ready to ignite your people by understanding the Herzberg 2-Factor Theory and applying different motivational techniques to enhance your people’s productivity and job satisfaction.
- Behavior Styles – As certified BCon LIFO facilitators, we offer a full range of programming, including: individual understanding and analysis of preferred behavior styles in favorable and unfavorable conditions, working more effectively with different behavior styles within a department or team, learning how to understand customer behavior styles to better manage and close the business, and learning how to work better across, up and down an organization.
- IMPACTTM – Take your sales management (or other management personnel) team to the next level! IMPACT is a customized, themed management development program that typically includes three 4-day modules over a one-year period, with additional communication and learning opportunities in between.
- STARTM (Successor Targeting And Retention) – We help you in your succession planning process to help ensure the future of your company. STAR is a customized process that can include developing a successor targeting process and/ or developing and facilitating an annual leadership development program for selected successors. - Prepare to RoarTM – Hold on to your safari hats! Come join Riverbend for an experiential-adventure professional development travel experience of a lifetime! Week-long professional develop programs are offered in the bush of South Africa, the great plains of the Serengeti, and the gorgeous rolling volcano hills of Rwanda. You will dive deep into professional and personal development areas, make career and life changing applications, and see learnings first hand as they already are in practice and come to life by the African wildlife that rule this mighty continent!
- Managing Your Career Like a Triathlete – Learn how a triathlon can aid you in having your best year -- year after year in your career. Triathlon terms and skills such as transitions, swim, bike, run, nutrition, mental toughness, off-season, and race calendar will bring new meaning to the way you manage your professional life! You will look at traditional business terminology, including focus, problem solving, planning, execution, teamwork, and discipline, in an entirely new light and energize your approach to managing your career.
- Executive/ Professional Coaching – Think literally what a sports coach does. Our coaching program starts with discovery and agreement upon development areas to make you greater. We work with you to develop a customized coaching program that suits your style, your availability, and your goals. We conclude coaching engagements with an exit discovery to track progress, as well as to arm you with a go-forward strategy.
- Creative Thinking - Get out of your box! Get next to it, get in another, or don’t get in any for that matter! In this engaging session, tap into and expand your existing creative juices or unleash the juices you never knew you had. Explore ways to move beyond traditional thought patterns as they relate to your business. Topics will include “box thinking” and brainstorming – as well as hands on application.
- Building Effective Teams – this workshop is jam-packed with concepts, ideas, and best practices to build a high-performing, high-trust team -- one which balances a competitive spirit, a motivating environment, open communication, and best practice sharing, while promoting creative thinking, mutual trust and respect -- all focused on accountability toward a common vision. Participants learn “on their feet” as we move from various activities and concepts in a high-energy, dynamic class.
- Recruiting and Interviewing – understand the profile of a “successful” candidate. Participants will practice and receive feedback on interview question identification, probing techniques, and structuring the interview process to collect all the necessary feedback to make the right hiring decisions. There will be opportunities for participants to share best practices and model successful interview strategies.
