Example One
Overview:

Vice President of 100-person Clinical Affairs Department needing to take his group “to the next level.”

Issue:

In order to be more productive and successful, the VP indentified 3 “musts” his department must develop and own: Trust and Respect, Clear and Concise Communication, and Individual Accountability toward a Common Vision.

Need:

A teambuilding program (ABL) to introduce these 3 “musts” and to rally the department around them.

Solution:

Riverbend created a ½ day ABL based on the VP’s 3 “musts” and built the theme of the program around the “western” destination of the National Meeting. The ABL kept all 100 personnel fully engaged throughout the program while focusing on developing and demonstrating the “3 musts.” The program concluded with a winning team, as well as a very robust and deep discussion on full understanding, ownership, and execution strategies for each “must.”

Result:

Based on a customer-driven survey, feedback included: “My previous three experiences with teambuilding events were good, but didn’t allow enough time. Riverbend appropriately delegated tasks in the right amount of time;” “Very well run & facilitated. It was clear a lot of time and effort went into this exercise;” “I really enjoyed it; thought it was fun, different, and useful;” and “Very good teambuilding exercise!”

Example Two
Overview:

Director of Medical Affairs Department looking for an innovative way to kick-off the year for her 8-person team.

Issue:

Director needed a theme that she could pull-through all year to motivate her team and to utilize in all subsequent team meetings and programming.

Need:

A department theme and brief teambuilding program for year kick-off meeting.

Solution:

Riverbend developed a customized theme, as well as an hour ABL to roll-out the theme and build momentum for the Director for her kick-off meeting and year ahead.

Result:

On a three month-post event follow-up, the Director revealed results were successful as they were “continuing to march along” and that she has “been using some of your Riverbend’s pull through ideas [from the theme and teambuilding program, which is] keeping people motivated.”
